Join us in downtown Kingsland for a patriotic salute to America’s military, our veterans, their families, and those who have given the ‘Last Full Measure of Devotion’. The ceremony will commence at 11am and will include an honorary invocation, parade of colors, rifle salute, cascade of taps, and singing of the National Anthem. Following the ceremony, there will be free entertainment, a variety of food and activities. The 2nd Annual Armed Forces Day celebration will be held in downtown Kingsland on Saturday May 19th. Honors Night Grades 9-12 in Auditorium, 6:30pm
An AARP Driver Safety Program is being offered at Honey Creek on Monday and Tuesday, May 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Attendance both days is required to get your certificate. Updated and revised, the course includes information on safe driving tips for persons 50 years and older. Younger persons also find the course very helpful. No tests.
