The Rec center will be holding their annual Daddy-Daughter Dance on Friday, Februay 13th. The dance is from 6-8pm at the REC Center. Refreshments will be served and photos will be available, so dress up and come ready to have a good time. Come spend quality time with your little one. Admission is $10 a couple and $2 per additional child.

The event is held at the Kingsland Lions Club at 112 West Williams Street in downtown Kingsland. Tickets are only $30 and include all you can eat Oysters (BYO oyster knife), Shrimp, Brunswick stew, Homemade Chowders and Homemade Desserts. This annual fundraiser supports various local and national sight-related programs, including Sight First, the Georgia Lighthouse for the Blind, Recordings for Blind / Dyslexic, Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Georgia Camp for the Blind. Polar Bear Plunge
On Saturday, January 3 2009, from 12pm – 2pm at the St Marys Aquatic Center, join us for the Polar Bear Plunge!
Bring in the New Year with a trip down the big slide at the St Marys Aquatic Center, located just minutes east of Kingsland. The Polar Bear Plunge event will take place on the 1st Saturday in January from noon to 2pm and admission is free to all who brave the cold temperatures. The water will be chilly, so bring warm clothes to change into (wetsuits are allowed!). Concessions will be available, lifeguards will be on duty, parents must accompany all children under 10 years of age and all height restrictions will apply. On Saturday, January 10th 2009 at 10:00 AM in Downtown Kingsland, the wildcat parade of pride will be held. Everyone is invited to enter in the Wildcat Parade of Pride, participation is free and we are looking for who has the most WILDCAT SPIRIT!? There will be spirit contests and fun for all! Don’t forget to wear your wildcat blue!
The Wildcat parade of pride is a community celebration in honor of the Camden County Wildcats 2008 State Championship win. The parade activities will be on Saturday, January 10th, 2009. The parade line up will start at 9:00am on HWY 17 and the parade activities will begin promptly at 10:00am. We are planning spirit contests for the parade entries that have the most Wildcat pride. Please plan to join us for a fun & festive victory tribute honoring the community’s Camden County Wildcat spirit and pride!!
